Tell us the brand, the model if you have it, and what it’s doing. Not cooling, freezer icing, leaking, error code showing, whatever it is. We book you in for the same day or next day and confirm within the hour.
You open the fridge in the morning and it’s not cold. The milk’s warm, the freezer’s sweating onto the bottom shelf, and there’s a few hundred dollars of groceries about to end up in the bin. Or maybe it’s the slow version. Food going off two days early, frost building where it shouldn’t, the back of the fridge feeling warmer than it used to. Either way, a fridge that’s not cooling properly is one of those breakdowns you can’t put off.
We do fridge repair in Vancouver every day. French door, side-by-side, top freezer, built-in, the lot. Most jobs get sorted in one visit. Call before noon and we’ll usually have someone at your door that afternoon.

Most fridge problems are more fixable than people assume, and almost always cheaper than buying new. Our technicians carry the most common parts on every van. Compressor relays, evaporator fan motors, defrost heaters, thermostats, door seals, ice maker valves, the lot. So when we come out for fridge repair in Vancouver we can usually finish the job the same visit.
We also handle commercial appliance repair Vancouver for restaurants, cafes, and small grocers, where a walk-in or reach-in fridge going down means losing stock by the hour. Here are the six fridge issues we get called about most.
Open the door, no cold air? Beer warm, ice cream soft, milk going off a day after you bought it? Fridge repair in Vancouver for cooling problems is our number one call. Nine times out of ten it’s one of three things. A failed evaporator fan motor, a frosted-over evaporator coil because the defrost system has packed in, or a compressor start relay that has gone. A bad door seal letting warm air in can do it too. We diagnose it on the spot and tell you exactly what it needs.
Got a freezer that looks like an Arctic cave? Frost building up on the back wall, food frozen into a solid block, the drawer won’t open without a fight? When we get called for fridge repair in Vancouver about freezer icing, it’s almost always the defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost timer that has failed. The freezer can’t go through its automatic defrost cycle, so frost just keeps building. Usually a quick fix once we know which part. Common fault on Samsung, LG, and Whirlpool models.
Water pooling at the bottom of the fresh food compartment? Or worse, leaking out onto your kitchen floor? Fridge repair in Vancouver for leaks usually comes back to one of two things. A blocked defrost drain hose, where ice has plugged the drain and water has nowhere to go. Or a cracked water inlet line on a model with an ice maker or water dispenser. Both are sortable. We carry inlet valves for Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, and most other brands. Worth getting on it quick before water gets into your floor or under your cabinets.
Compressor humming nonstop, fridge running 24/7, electric bill creeping up? A fridge that never cycles off is working too hard and won’t last long like that. When we handle fridge repair in Vancouver for this issue, the cause is usually dirty condenser coils, a failing condenser fan motor, a faulty thermostat, or low refrigerant from a leak in the sealed system. We check all of it, show you what we find, and tell you what’s worth fixing.
Knocking, grinding, buzzing, or a high-pitched whine that wasn’t there last month? Fridges should be mostly quiet. Loud noises mean something’s wearing out. Fridge repair in Vancouver for noise issues usually traces back to a failing evaporator fan motor, a condenser fan motor with worn bearings, or a compressor that’s on its way out. We can usually tell which one within minutes of arriving, and most of these are quicker fixes than people expect.
Ice maker dead, water dispenser sputtering, or no water coming through at all? Fridge repair in Vancouver for ice maker and dispenser problems is one of the calls we run most often. It’s nearly always one of four things. A frozen water line, a failed water inlet valve, a clogged filter that hasn’t been changed in years, or the ice maker module itself. We carry replacement modules for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Frigidaire on the van.

We work on every major fridge brand in Vancouver. From the Sub-Zero and Wolf built-ins you see in Kitsilano and Shaughnessy family homes, to the Bosch and Miele integrated units in Yaletown and Coal Harbour condos, to the standard Samsung and LG French door models in just about every other home in the city. We carry parts for all the brands listed below and can usually source anything we don’t have on the van within a day or two.

Thermador
We cover all of Vancouver for fridge repair. Downtown, Yaletown, Coal Harbour, The West End, Kitsilano, West Point Grey, Shaughnessy, Fairview, South Granville, Mount Pleasant, East Vancouver, Commercial Drive, Grandview-Woodland, Riley Park, Dunbar, Kerrisdale, Marpole, and Hastings-Sunrise.
A lot of our fridge repair work in Vancouver lands on the West Side. Kitsilano, Point Grey, and Shaughnessy homes often have Sub-Zero and Wolf built-ins. Pricey parts, tight installs, the kind of fridge where the repair really has to be done right the first time. In Downtown and Yaletown condos we see a lot of integrated counter-depth Bosch, Miele, and Liebherr units, smaller machines that get hammered by busy households. East Vancouver, Mount Pleasant, and Commercial Drive are mostly French door Samsung and LG units in family homes and rentals. Whatever’s in your kitchen, we’ve worked on it before.

Call before noon and we’re at your door that afternoon. Afternoons usually get next-day. Bruce, Daniyar, Geo, Jan, Mo, and Vlad are spread across the region, so nobody’s driving from the other end of the city to reach you. With food on the line, that matters.

You know the price before we start
You get a full quote before we touch anything. No surprises on the bill at the end. If it’s not worth fixing, we’ll tell you straight. We’d rather give you honest advice on a 12-year-old fridge than charge for a repair that won’t outlast the appliance.
02
Real parts, not cheap copies
We use OEM manufacturer parts only. The real thing from the brand, not aftermarket substitutes. Compressors, fan motors, control boards straight from Samsung, LG, Sub-Zero, whoever made your fridge. Your appliance works the way it was designed to and the repair holds.

Most fridge repairs in Vancouver run between $200 and $500 depending on the brand and what’s actually broken. Defrost heater swaps and door seal replacements come in at the lower end. Evaporator fan motors and water inlet valves are mid-range. Compressor work and sealed system repairs sit at the top, especially on higher-end Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Miele units where the parts cost more to begin with. Our $100 diagnostic fee gets credited toward the repair if you go ahead, so you’re not paying for the diagnosis on top of everything else. You get the full quote before any work starts.
The general rule from BC food safety guidelines is four hours. After your fridge has been above 4 degrees Celsius for four hours, perishables like meat, dairy, eggs, and cooked food should be thrown out. Frozen food in a closed freezer stays safe for about 24 to 48 hours depending on how full the freezer is. A full freezer holds the cold longer than a half-empty one. If you wake up to a warm fridge, call us first thing. We prioritise these calls because every hour matters when groceries are on the line.
Heavy frost buildup in a freezer almost always means the automatic defrost system has failed. Modern fridges run a defrost cycle every six to twelve hours that melts frost off the evaporator coil and drains it away. When the defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost timer fails, frost just keeps building until the freezer can’t move air properly and the fresh food side starts losing cooling too. It’s a common fault on Samsung, LG, and Whirlpool models in particular. Usually a one-visit fix once we know which part has gone.
Depends on the brand and what’s wrong. A 12-year-old Samsung or LG with a $250 fan motor problem is worth fixing. The same fridge with a $900 sealed system leak probably isn’t. You’d be better off replacing it. Higher-end brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Miele are a different story. Those are built to run 20 years plus and parts stay available for a long time, so even bigger repairs often make sense. We’ll tell you straight whether the repair is worth the money. We’re not going to push you into a $700 repair on a fridge worth $400.
Yes. A big chunk of our fridge repair work in Vancouver is on built-in and integrated units, especially in Downtown, Yaletown, and Coal Harbour condos. Bosch, Miele, Sub-Zero, Liebherr, and Thermador built-ins all need careful handling because they’re panel-fitted, often hard-wired in, and tighter to access than freestanding models. Our technicians do this every week. Just let us know the brand and that it’s an integrated unit when you book, so we come prepared with the right tools.
Call before noon and we’ll usually be at your place that afternoon. Afternoon calls typically get next-day service. We prioritise fridge calls above most other appliance work because food spoilage is on the line. Our technicians are based across the region so nobody’s coming from miles away. Call (778) 653-6929 and we’ll check who’s free for your area today.
